Dear Little Sister,

I am sorry for laughing at you when your high school boyfriend gave you a hickey and mom and dad flipped out about it. It was wrong of me to tease you. Especially considering my current circumstances.

Getting a hickey when you are in high school is one thing. It is expected that high school sweethearts will do their fair share of necking and will go slightly, er, overboard every now and then. As a 25-year-old woman I wasn't expecting to finally receive my first love bite.

And yet, it's turtlenecks and fashionable scarves only for me for the next few days. Honestly, I'm surprised I've never had one before now, but I am uncommonly grateful that most people will be out of the office tomorrow an that Tuesday is a holiday.

Did I mention how embarrassed I am?
